Next-Gen Bajaj Pulsar 125 And Pulsar 150 Launched: Prices Start At Rs 92,990

The new-generation Pulsar 125 and 150 get new engines, monoshock suspension, a 5-inch TFT display and segment-first Crawl Tech.

Bajaj Auto has launched the new-generation Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 in India. The updates bring significant mechanical and technology upgrades to the popular commuter motorcycles. Prices for the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 start at Rs 92,990 and Rs 1,15,233 (ex-showroom), respectively.

New Engines With Added Low-End Torque

Both machines feature brand-new engines designed to improve refinement, performance and efficiency. The Pulsar 125 produces 12 PS and 11.4 Nm, while the Pulsar 150 produces 14 PS and 14.1 Nm.

Bajaj claims that 85 per cent of the available torque is produced from 3,000 rpm onwards on both motorcycles, which should aid acceleration and tractability during everyday riding.

Another major mechanical upgrade is the new monoshock rear suspension setup, which replaces the twin-shock setup seen on previous versions of these motorcycles.

Segment-First Crawl Tech

The new Pulsars also get Crawl Tech, which Bajaj claims is a first in the 125cc and 150cc segments. The system allows the motorcycle to maintain low speeds without opening the throttle. This reduces the need to constantly use the clutch and throttle in heavy traffic situations.

On the Pulsar 125, it can maintain about 5 kmph in first gear and as much as 25 kmph in fifth gear. The Pulsar 150 can crawl at 10 kmph in first gear and 30 kmph in fifth gear.

5-Inch TFT And Google Maps

Higher variants get a 5-inch TFT instrument console with Google Maps navigation and smartphone screen mirroring. The system also allows riders to receive alerts for calls and messages, control music and store vehicle documents digitally.

The lower variants feature a colour LCD display, while most variants come with USB Type-C charging.

Variants And Prices

The Pulsar 125 is priced from Rs 92,990 to Rs 1,04,318, while the Pulsar 150 is priced from Rs 1,15,233 to Rs 1,23,187. Both bikes also come with new LED lighting and more aggressive styling, along with different seat and braking options across the range.
