JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the MG Majestor SUV for the Indian market, with pre-bookings now open for a token amount of Rs 41,000. Positioned above the Gloster, the Majestor will serve as the brand’s new flagship SUV and take on rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner Legender, Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian in the premium three-row SUV space.
Exterior
The Majestor boasts a bold, upright design. Its front is characterised by a large gloss-black grille and a dominant vertical theme, highlighted by vertically stacked LED projector headlamps and slim LED daytime running lamps. Skid plates enhance its ‘go-anywhere’ appeal. From the side, the SUV adopts a butch stance with flared wheel arches, matte-black body cladding and 19-inch alloy wheels. The rear design follows current trends, featuring a connected LED tail-light setup, while dual exhausts integrated neatly into the rear bumper add a sporty touch.

Interior
While the Majestor’s exterior is defined by muscular styling, the interior offers a plush and tech-loaded cabin. The dashboard is dominated by a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster. It also features ventilated front seats with a massage function, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, triple-zone climate control, wireless charging and a premium sound system.
Engine and Transmission
Powering the Majestor is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing around 213 bhp and 478 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Buyers will have the option of rear-wheel drive as well as a 4×4 variant, making it suitable for both city use and off-road excursions.
Safety
The SUV comes equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control and lane assist technologies.
Price
Official prices will be announced at launch, but the MG Majestor is expected to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
