April 1, 2026 Yoshika Chhabra

Bajaj revives the Pulsar 180 with updates for 2026. It gets tweaked styling and early dealership dispatch ahead of launch.

The Bajaj Pulsar 180 is making a comeback in the Indian market, and it’s already reaching dealerships ahead of its official launch. The 2026 model-year version of the motorcycle has begun arriving at showrooms, signalling Bajaj’s move to revive one of its iconic nameplates. The motorcycle was once an integral part of the brand’s lineup targeting enthusiasts, but it was discontinued as the company focused on higher-capacity Pulsar models like the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and Bajaj Pulsar NS400.

Design & Styling

The 2026 Pulsar 180 follows the “don’t fix it if it’s not broken” design language of the Classic Pulsar, and styling-wise it is similar to the latest Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Bajaj Pulsar 150 models. The motorcycle spotted in the showroom was in black with red and grey graphics on the fuel tank, side panels, and tail section, and also sports the ‘180’ badge on the rear of the bike. Modern tech includes LED headlamps and LED turn signals as standard equipment, and it also features a carbon-fibre-style design on the front fender and a new exhaust.

Features & Equipment

It is expected that the Pulsar 180 will be available in different variants with different features. The entry-level Pulsar 180 will come with a single-piece seat, a fully digital instrument cluster, and front and rear disc brakes, but will lack navigation system features. The other variants of the Pulsar 180 may come with a dual-seat setup and an instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation, similar to other Pulsars currently on sale.

Engine & Performance

The 2026 Pulsar 180 will feature Bajaj’s tried-and-tested 178.6cc air-cooled single-cylinder motor that produces 17 PS of power and 14.5 Nm of torque, spinning the rear wheel via a 5-speed transmission. Overall, the specs of the upcoming Pulsar 180 remain consistent with its previous versions. When it comes to fuel efficiency, the Pulsar 180 is likely to have an ARAI-certified figure of around 45 km/l, which is consistent with its positioning in the market.

Suspension & Braking

The upcoming Pulsar 180 will have telescopic fork suspension at the front and twin gas shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle will feature single-channel ABS on the front wheel.

Expected Price and Launch Date

The expected price for the 2026 Pulsar 180 is between Rs 1.30 lakh and Rs 1.35 lakh. This will position it between the Pulsar 150 and the Bajaj Pulsar 220F. The bikes are already available in showrooms, and it is expected that the official launch will be announced very soon. The reintroduction of the Pulsar 180 is expected to strengthen Bajaj’s position in the mid-capacity segment and revive one of its most iconic brands.
