2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Reaches Showrooms With 350cc Engine; Price Leaked

April 6, 2026 Yoshika Chhabra

Spotted at dealerships ahead of launch, the updated NS400Z downsizes to 350cc to benefit from lower taxes, with only a slight price drop.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z will be getting an overhaul in 2026, as some bikes fitted with a new 350cc engine have started reaching showrooms before the official launch. This decision has been made in light of new GST regulations, which stipulate that bikes with engine displacement below 350cc are taxed less. But does the loss of 50cc affect the Bajaj Pulsar’s streetfighter persona?

Design & Styling

As for the design of the 2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, it will remain the same as before. The bike will still possess its streetfighter characteristics, including extended tank guards, a muscular appearance, and a short tail. Overall, there won’t be any changes to the exterior, colour options, or body panels. The only modification involves removing the “373cc” badge on the engine case, which was present in the previous version of the bike.

Features & Equipment

On the features front, Bajaj has kept the entire specification list of the NS400Z intact. The motorcycle still comes with premium features that include a full digital instrument console with navigation, LED projector headlamps, as well as adjustable clutch and brake lever settings. In addition, it also includes performance-enhancing features such as the ride-by-wire throttle and slipper clutch. In terms of variants, too, there have been no changes from the current model.

Engine & Performance

The key difference lies in the engine. The revised engine now has a capacity of 349.13cc, which means it is slightly smaller than the older 373cc engine. This single-cylinder, water-cooled engine churns out 40.6 PS of maximum power and 33.2 Nm of peak torque via a six-speed transmission. In comparison to its predecessor, which produced 43 PS and 35 Nm of torque, there has been a reduction in performance figures.

Suspension & Brakes

There is no change in the hardware package of the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, as it comes with 43mm USD front forks and a rear monoshock setup. Stopping power on the motorcycle comes from dual-channel ABS on both wheels, along with large disc brakes. It also comes equipped with sintered brake pads and larger Apollo H1 tyres for better stability and grip.

Ex-Showroom Price & Date of Launch

According to leaked data, the ex-showroom price of the 2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z will be somewhere around Rs 1.93 lakh. This represents only a slight drop in price owing to the lower tax slab for motorcycles. As the motorcycles have already reached dealer showrooms, an official launch announcement is imminent.
