Bajaj updates the iconic Pulsar 220F with a full-LED headlamp setup while retaining its proven 220cc engine.
he Pulsar 220 DTS-FI is for Bajaj what the Bullet 500 is for Royal Enfield. It is an iconic brand that defines Bajaj Auto in the 21st century, and even after being two decades old, it manages to create interest in the eyes of consumers even today. In 2026, Bajaj did not mess with the winning formula but updated the illumination unit with full-LED headlights. The Bajaj Pulsar 220F retails at Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom), which is INR 8,000 more than the previous model.
LED Glory
Bajaj has given the latest Pulsar 220F’s headlights a full-LED setup with an auto-on feature. This has also updated the face of the motorcycle, as the iconic vertically mounted headlight units (high and low beam) have been integrated into one. Losing the double-headlight unit is a sad loss in our books, as the design is what made the Pulsar 220F instantly recognisable.
The DRLs that sit on either side of the headlight are also illuminated by LEDs for 2026.
Mechanical Changes?
Following the “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it” approach, the 2026 Bajaj Pulsar 220F runs the tried-and-tested oil-cooled 220cc single-cylinder engine with 20.4 PS and 18.55 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Other features include clip-on handlebars, illuminated switchgear, a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth, smartphone connectivity, notifications, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Safety
The 2026 Bajaj Pulsar 220F is equipped with single-channel ABS, front and rear disc brakes, a split seat, and LED taillights.
Apart from these minor updates, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F remains untouched, which should keep Pulsar purists happy.
