Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is entering a competitive market and its main rival given the BaaS rental program will be the MG Windsor. Both crossovers are strictly based on an EV only platform unlike the Tata Curve and the Hyundai Creta EV which share their platform with their ICE models. The e Vitara (61kWh) makes a strong case for itself by offering the max range, power at an attractive price when compared to the competition.

Maruti Suzuki is actively building its EV charging network, having already installed over 2,000 exclusive charging points across 1,100 cities. With the goal of increasing public charging stations to 100,000 by 2030. To simplify the charging experience for customers, the “e for me” app provides integrated access to 13 leading Charge Point Operators (CPOs), such as Tata Power and Adani Power. This eliminates the need for EV owners to manage multiple separate applications for different charging stations.

Maruti Suzuki has begun deliveries of the e Vitara. To manage global demand, the company intends to adjust production at its Gujarat plant, as the vehicle is exclusively manufactured in India for worldwide export.
