Hero’s latest electric scooter gets a larger battery, 187km claimed range, DC fast charging, and deliveries begin later this month.
Hero MotoCorp has added another model to its electric scooter line-up in the form of the Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh, which is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). This is the latest model in the range, following the already available VX2 Plus 3.4kWh.
Larger Battery and Better Range
A significant upgrade is the provision of dual removable 2.2kWh batteries, taking the total battery capacity to 4.4kWh. The claimed IDC range for this new variant has increased to 187km on a single charge, compared to 146km for the 3.4kWh variant.
To complement the larger battery, Hero has included a portable charger with a 1kW power output, which is nearly double the power of the charger supplied with the smaller-capacity variant. Using this portable charger, it takes 3 hours 17 minutes to charge the battery from 0-80 percent, while a full charge takes 5 hours 8 minutes.
To further reduce charging time, the scooter is equipped with DC fast-charging capability, which charges the battery from 0-80 percent in 65 minutes, while a full charge takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Customers will also have access to more than 6,000 fast-charging stations across India through the Vida Charging Network.
Performance Remains Unchanged

Mechanically, the VX2 Plus 4.4kWh remains identical to the current model, featuring the same 6kW electric motor that produces 26Nm of torque and delivers a claimed top speed of 90kph.

Moreover, the scooter gets a 4.3-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and four riding modes: Eco, Ride, Sport, and Boost, with the Boost mode providing quicker acceleration.
Hero has revealed that deliveries of the Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh will begin by the end of July 2026 through authorised dealerships. Furthermore, the company stated that its latest electric scooter earned a place in the Asia Book of Records after covering 12,111km during a 52-day journey across India.
Thanks to its larger battery, quicker charging, and improved range, the new VX2 Plus 4.4kWh caters to customers looking for an electric scooter suitable for both daily commuting and longer journeys.
