Five New Cars Confirmed To Launch In India soon

February 16, 2026 Yoshika Chhabra

Fresh off the production line, several carmakers are stepping up with new models by mid-April 2026. Not limited to one type, these vehicles range from compact MPVs to high-end SUVs with electric upgrades. A wave of five debuts is set to unfold in the coming weeks across Indian roads. Each brings distinct features, sizes, and powertrains into play. Details are now available on which models will make their public appearance shortly.

MG Majestor

Coming early next year, the Majestor takes everything the Gloster offers and turns it up — design, tech, and more. Unveiled globally on February 12, 2026, it stands out with fresh styling touches on both ends of the vehicle. Its first appearance happened at BGME 2025, giving fans an early look. Interior and exterior changes work together to appeal to buyers wanting something slightly more premium in the large SUV class. Under the hood sits a powerful twin-turbo diesel 1990cc engine linked to an automatic gearbox. That setup places it clearly ahead of the base-model Gloster in both performance and equipment.

BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro

You can currently reserve the BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro before it arrives on February 16 across Indian dealerships. This model takes the top spot within the X3 lineup while running on a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four engine supported by a 48V assisted electrical setup. Beyond its power unit, it carries design elements exclusive to the M Sport Pro version and introduces a fresh Brooklyn Grey paint option not seen before.

Nissan Gravite

After a short pause, Nissan India is moving forward with the Gravite compact MPV, arriving on February 17, now confirmed. Built on the CMF-A+ platform also seen in the Renault Triber, this model features a lightweight structure and sharper positioning. Power comes from two versions of the 1.0-litre engine: one naturally aspirated and the other turbocharged. Transmission choices will likely include both manual and automatic options. Built for families who need space but are budget-conscious, it stands out as a seven-seat option without high pricing. What makes it different is how it fits practical needs at more affordable levels than most competitors.

Tata Punch EV Facelift

A fresh look is coming soon — Tata Motors plans to unveil the updated Punch EV on February 20. Changes may begin on the exterior, where updated design cues could echo what we’ve seen in the revised Punch lineup. Inside, minor upgrades are expected, aiming to make daily use smoother. Power may also increase, thanks to a larger battery pack, hinting at longer electric driving range.

Volkswagen Tayron

Coming soon to India is Volkswagen’s latest flagship SUV, called Tayron. VW plans to assemble the crossover at its Chakan plant in Pune, India. Built on the same platform as the global Tiguan, this model runs on a 2.0-litre petrol engine. Power is delivered through a seven-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels via an all-wheel-drive system. Notable features include a large 15-inch infotainment display, along with a fully digital driver’s instrument cluster. Level 2 ADAS safety features are also expected as part of the package.

Conclusion

A series of new vehicles is set to hit Indian roads soon. Electric cars lead the mix, followed by premium SUVs and practical MPVs. Over the next fortnight, choices for buyers will expand rapidly. The push reflects manufacturers adding models in segments where demand remains strong. Price ranges will span from budget offerings to luxury vehicles. Segments once overlooked are now receiving renewed attention. Beyond specifications, positioning will play a key role. Each launch aims to stand out in an increasingly competitive market. Expect further details on pricing, powertrains, space, and features in the coming weeks.
