February 14, 2026 Yoshika Chhabra

The Aprilia RS 457 is an entry-level twin-cylinder sport bike that offers thrilling performance and European styling at an affordable price point in the sub-500cc segment. The RS 457 received revised pricing from Aprilia after GST regulations caused a short-term price increase. For the calendar year 2026, Aprilia has priced the 2026 RS 457 at Rs 4.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). This updated price applies to the base variant, including special versions of the bike — Coral Blue Snake and Arsenic Yellow colour schemes.

The RS 457 maintains its supersport design with a full fairing, drawing inspiration from Aprilia’s higher-displacement motorcycles. The motorcycle includes two LED headlamps, and its body features an aerodynamic design, while the fuel tank has a sculpted shape. The GP Replica variant of the bike costs Rs 4.37 lakh and features race-inspired design elements, a blacked-out frame and swingarm, and RS-GP race motorcycle-inspired styling. No structural or dimensional changes have been announced for 2026.

The RS 457 is equipped with a digital TFT display, ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, and multiple riding modes as standard. The GP Replica edition comes with a bi-directional quickshifter as a standard feature and includes adjustable levers and new brake pad designs. On the standard variant, the quickshifter is offered as an optional accessory priced at approximately Rs 25,000.

The motorcycle continues to be powered by a 457cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. The unit produces 47.6hp and 43.5Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. Aprilia has confirmed that there are no mechanical updates for the 2026 model year, and output figures remain unchanged from the previous iteration.

The RS 457 features dual-channel ABS along with traction control and ride-by-wire electronics for enhanced safety and rider assistance. The braking system retains its original design, featuring disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. The GP Replica variant’s upgraded brake pads form part of its standard equipment package. No revisions to chassis geometry or suspension setup have been reported as part of this pricing update.

The company adjusted its pricing strategy to support ongoing strong sales performance while preserving its premium market position in India’s expanding under-500cc performance motorcycle segment.
