Renault updates the Kwid with a simplified variant lineup, refreshed styling, and new features while retaining the familiar 1.0-litre petrol engine.
Renault India has unveiled the 2026 Kwid with an ex-showroom price tag ranging from Rs 4.53 lakh to Rs 5.61 lakh. While the compact hatchback retains its existing mechanical setup, it has undergone subtle design and feature updates. In addition, Renault has simplified the variant lineup for an easier buying experience.
The MY2026 Kwid is currently offered in two variants – Evo and Climber. Both variants are available with either a five-speed manual transmission or an AMT automatic. The base 2026 Renault Kwid Evo variant starts at Rs 4.53 lakh, while the top-spec Climber AMT is priced at Rs 5.61 lakh. In addition, a cash benefit of Rs 15,000 is available on the Climber variants under Renault’s online purchase plan.
What’s New?
Minor exterior and interior tweaks have been made to the 2026 Kwid. It gets Renault’s latest logo on the front grille, redesigned wheel covers for the 14-inch steel wheels, and a new steering wheel inspired by the Renault Kiger.
Key features include LED daytime running lights, halogen headlamps, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reverse parking sensors, keyless entry, power windows, and a rotary gear lever on AMT versions. According to Renault, the new Kwid comes equipped with 17 safety features, along with 184mm of ground clearance and 279 litres of luggage space.
The Renault Kwid continues to be powered by the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, which is now E20 compliant.
Competition
The new Renault Kwid is expected to continue competing in India’s entry-level hatchback segment with models like the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso and Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.
