Maruti’s second midsize SUV takes aim at the Creta, Seltos, and Grand Vitara rivals.
1. Styling
The Victoris is Maruti’s second entrant in the midsize SUV category after the Grand Vitara. Unlike the Brezza and the Vitara, it features a fresh design language inspired by the e-Vitara. The sleek front with LED headlights and no oversized grille gives it a futuristic look. On the side, muscular wheel arches, a strong shoulder line, and new alloy wheels add presence. At the rear, connected LED tail lamps follow the segment trend.
2. Inside
The cabin gets a fresh layout with a new steering wheel design and improved fit and finish. A 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display adds to the premium feel, alongside a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, built-in apps, and Alexa integration. Other highlights include 64-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, an 8-way powered driver’s seat, wireless charging with cooling, multiple USB-C ports, a panoramic sunroof, and an 8-speaker audio system.
3. 5-Star Bharat NCAP Rating
The Victoris has scored a 5-star Bharat NCAP crash-test rating. Standard features include six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, and all-wheel disc brakes. Higher variants get ADAS Level-2 with adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and emergency braking. A 360-degree camera, TPMS, parking sensors, ISOFIX, and 3-point seatbelts add further safety.
4. Powertrain Options
The Victoris shares its engines with the Grand Vitara. The 1.5L four-cylinder petrol makes 103 PS and 149 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. Selected variants offer AWD. The 1.5L strong hybrid produces 92.4 PS and 122 Nm with an e-CVT, while the CNG version (with an underfloor tank) is available only with the 5-speed manual.
Bookings are open at Maruti’s Arena dealerships with a deposit of INR 11,000. The official launch is expected in October 2025, with prices starting at INR 9.75 lakh. With over 3,000 Arena outlets across 2,596 cities, the Victoris will take on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and to an extent, the Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder.
