Tata Nexon CAMO launched at Rs 9.99 lakh: 4 things buyers should know

Tata has given the Nexon a festive season refresh with exclusive colours, more tech and a wider premium appeal, while leaving the mechanical package unchanged.

The Tata Nexon isn’t getting a facelift just yet, but it is getting a new look. Ahead of the festive season, Tata Motors has introduced the Nexon CAMO, a special edition that adds fresh styling, a richer feature list and two exclusive paint finishes. Prices start from Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with the range topping out at Rs 13.94 lakh.

The changes on the outside

If you’re expecting a redesign, this isn’t it. Instead, Tata has focused on making the Nexon stand out with two new colours—Munnar Mist and Coorg Cloud. Add to that CAMO badges on the fenders and unique seat detailing inside, and the special edition gets enough visual changes to set it apart from the regular SUV.

The cabin gets the real upgrade

Most of the changes for the Nexon are inside. The CAMO edition now comes with Tata’s latest 12.3-inch touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, along with an integrated dashcam, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, JBL sound system and Level 2 ADAS. In short, this is now one of the most comprehensively equipped versions of the Nexon on sale.

Nothing changes under the bonnet

Mechanically, the Nexon CAMO is identical to the standard model. Buyers can continue choosing between the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre turbo iCNG engines, with manual, AMT and DCT gearbox options available depending on the variant.

Conclusion

The Nexon has already crossed the 11 lakh customer milestone, so Tata isn’t trying to fix something that isn’t broken. Instead, the CAMO edition gives buyers looking for a more premium-looking compact SUV another option without changing the formula that has made the Nexon one of the country’s best-selling SUVs. It also arrives at the right time, with festive season demand expected to pick up in the coming weeks.
