Night Edition variants come with special design features, added equipment, and premium features

The Mercedes-Benz GLE and Mercedes-Benz GLS Night Edition have been unveiled in India. The special variants are offered with dark-themed designs in addition to premium features and will only be available in limited numbers.
The price for the GLE Night Edition starts from Rs 1.05 crore, and the GLS Night Edition starts from Rs 1.41 crore.
Price Range

The GLE Night Edition comes with two variants, including the GLE 300d 4Matic Night Edition priced at Rs 1.05 crore and the GLE 450 4Matic Night Edition at Rs 1.14 crore. Similarly, the Mercedes-Benz GLS Night Edition includes four variants, with the GLS 450 4Matic Night Edition priced at Rs 1.41 crore and the GLS 450d 4Matic Night Edition at Rs 1.43 crore.
As opposed to their standard counterparts, the Night Edition variants come at a premium of between Rs 3.30 lakh and Rs 5 lakh, depending on the variant selected.
Blacked-Out Design Elements And Upgraded Interior

Two unique exterior colors are offered by Mercedes-Benz for the Night Edition variants, namely Alpine Grey and Obsidian Black. The Night Edition variants of both models feature blackened design elements, which include bumper inserts painted in gloss-black, black roof panels, and black wing mirrors.
For the interior cabin, Mercedes-Benz has provided black Nappa leather seats, black Anthracite open-pore oak wood interiors, and illuminated black door sills.
Additional Features and Air Suspension
Another notable update for the GLE Night Edition is the inclusion of Airmatic air suspension as a standard feature. This is the first time that the four-cylinder diesel variant of the GLE gets the air suspension system in India, considerably improving driving experience and performance.
In addition, the GLE and GLS Night Editions come standard with the head-up display. The GLS Night Edition further adds to its luxury quotient with the inclusion of two rear entertainment screens.
Finally, Mercedes-Benz has also made air suspension standard for all variants of the GLS Night Edition.
Engine and Performance Specifications
Mercedes’ new additions to their line-up, the GLE Night Edition, come with the same engine choices as the regular model range. Customers will have the option of choosing from either a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 270 hp and 550 Nm of torque, or the powerful 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine producing 380 hp and 500 Nm of torque.
The Mercedes-Benz GLS Night Edition on offer comes with a 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine that produces 380 hp and a 3.0-litre inline-six diesel engine offering 367 hp.
Both models will be equipped with the 9-speed automatic gearbox along with the Mercedes 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.
Mercedes-Benz will be further extending its luxury SUV lineup with these two Night Edition models for India. The rising popularity of premium SUVs with unique aesthetics and interiors has contributed immensely to the appeal of the luxury segment.
