Classic Legends has expanded the Roadster lineup with the launch of the Yezdi Roadster Red Wolf edition in India. The new Roadster variant is priced at ₹2.10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and will compete with the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, which starts at ₹1.92 lakh.
The new Roadster variant, the Red Wolf, is based on the standard Roadster and features cosmetic changes. Classic Legends aims to boost sales in the mid-capacity neo-retro segment with this new variant.
Design
The standout feature of the Red Wolf edition is its red paint job. The colour gives the bike a unique look and makes it stand out compared to the Roadster’s other variants. The LED lighting and digital instrumentation are carried forward from the current lineup.
Chrome additions give the motorcycle a stronger retro appeal. The exhaust system, engine cover, and handlebars are all chrome-plated. The tan leather seat is another feature that helps this motorcycle stand out from other variants, enhancing its retro charm — something most buyers look for in this segment.
The bike retains the modular seat, allowing riders the flexibility to switch between a solo setup and carrying a pillion. It also keeps other prominent Roadster design elements, such as the fuel tank with knee recesses, large rear fender, hugger, and twin-barrel exhaust. Yezdi has also equipped the motorcycle with one of the widest rear tyres in its segment.
Engine
Mechanically, the Red Wolf edition remains unchanged from the standard Roadster. It continues to be powered by a 334cc Alpha2 liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. The engine tuning, suspension setup, and disc brakes (front and rear) with dual-channel ABS remain standard.
Conclusion
Priced at ₹2.10 lakh, the Red Wolf edition is the flagship model in the Roadster series. The pricing reflects the added exclusivity and design differentiation. The motorcycle is positioned in the mid-capacity retro motorcycle segment in India. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 (₹2.17 lakh) and the Honda CB350 (₹2.00 lakh) remain its primary competitors in this segment.
