With segment-leading scores in both adult and child occupant protection, the Seltos edges ahead of key rivals and strengthens its position as a top all-rounder in the midsize SUV space.

Moreover, the vehicle has provided ‘good’ protection for the head, chest, pelvis, and thighs of both the driver and co-driver. However, the feet of the driver and the left tibia of the driver have received an ‘adequate’ rating.

The Seltos performed exceptionally well in the Child Occupant Protection evaluation, achieving a score of 45 out of 49 points, thereby earning a 5-star rating. The vehicle attained a flawless score of 24/24 in the dynamic test, and furthermore, it received a perfect score of 12/12 in the assessment of the ‘Child Restraint System’ (CRS) installation.

In both cases of a 3-year-old and an 18-month-old child dummy, the vehicle scored a perfect 12/12 points for frontal and side crashes. However, the vehicle lost 4 points in the ‘Vehicle Assessment’ category, thereby lowering the overall score.

The Seltos also showed impressive results in the crash performance assessment of the vehicle. The vehicle scored near-perfect results in frontal and side crashes, thereby ensuring maximum safety for the driver and the passenger.

However, the vehicle scored an ‘OK’ grade in the side pole impact test. Still, protection for body parts such as the head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis is rated ‘good’ for side crashes.
