Mahindra has refreshed the Scorpio N with a panoramic sunroof, larger displays and improved technology, while leaving its tried-and-tested mechanical package untouched.
When Mahindra launched the Scorpio N back in 2022, it quickly became one of the most sought-after SUVs in the country. It got the fundamentals right—a strong petrol and diesel engine lineup, genuine off-road ability and road presence that few rivals could match. But customers always felt there were a few features missing.
With the latest update, Mahindra seems to have addressed exactly those concerns.
Panoramic sunroof finally makes its way in
The biggest talking point is the addition of a panoramic sunroof. Until now, the Scorpio N came with a single-pane unit, putting it at a disadvantage against rivals such as the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar. The larger glass roof instantly makes the cabin feel airier and is likely to be one of the most sought-after features on higher variants.
12.29-inch infotainment system
Another welcome change is inside the cabin. Mahindra has replaced the ageing 8-inch touchscreen with a new 12.29-inch infotainment system, paired with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Besides looking sharper, the new setup brings the Scorpio N closer to newer Mahindra models like the XUV700 and BE range in terms of technology.
Off-roading gets a whole lot easier
For a large SUV, visibility has always been one of the Scorpio N’s weaker points. Mahindra has now introduced a 540-degree surround-view camera with a transparent chassis view, making it easier to squeeze into tight parking spots or tackle tricky off-road trails. A blind-view monitor has also been added to improve confidence behind the wheel.
Small touches that improve everyday usability
Not every update is flashy, but some are genuinely useful. Externally, the car sports diamond-cut alloy wheels while the cabin gets new interior trims for a premium look and feel. Mahindra has also added a 65W USB Type-C fast charger, something buyers are increasingly expecting in this segment.
What hasn’t changed—and that’s a good thing
Interestingly, Mahindra hasn’t tried to reinvent the Scorpio N. The familiar 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines continue, along with six-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. Four-wheel drive also remains available on select diesel variants.
Mahindra has decided to better the ownership experience rather than bring about radical changes. The Scorpio N continues to retain its core strengths and the features that were missing and have been demanded by the buyers, are now finally available in the SUV. If you’re looking at body-on-frame SUVs in 2026, the Scorpio N just got a leg up on the competition.
